Education Books

Below are a few books I've found to be extremely useful
as a middle school teacher.

Each one has a short description and a link to Amazon for your reference.

If you're looking for ways to create sustainable routines and activities in your classroom this is the book for you! It has 16 activities you can implement multiple times with different topics and subject areas. Save some time planning and get yourself this book! They also have free templates on their website that you can download and edit and use in Google Classroom.

This book is both entertaining and extremely helpful in identifying research-based strategies that work. Weston Kieschnick does a great job of helping teachers understand which strategies are effective and how you can incorporate technology in a meaningful way.

If you're a new teacher and need help with classroom management you need this book! If you're a teacher who is just having a rough year with discipline issues then you need this book. It's a great tool for new teachers and a great refresher for experienced teachers.

This book is great to help you support students with speaking and writing! It provides sentence frames students can use to improve both their explanatory and argument writing pieces. Perhaps the most helpful sections are the sentence frames that help students incorporate textual evidence in their writing! This is definitely something all English teachers should have in their bookshelf.
